Our approach to Digital label printing enables our customers to access wide varieties of fast printed labels on rolls and without the cost of label printing plates. In this testimonial for custom printed labels on rolls the wide range of digital colour printed labels was initially the subject of a press proofing exercise where the various designs are printed on our production digital presses, materials and finish to ensure content and colour are correct and possibly to match associated materials. The approved press proof is then the contract standard for Borble to match in production.
We recommend printed label users to minimise the number of different printed label sizes and maximise the number of different label sorts in order to get achieve low cost printed labels for small run quantities. This example followed Borble’s proven path to the best printed labels in a process to determine the most appropriate materials, finish and label sizes as part of the label design process.

For this range of designs we modeled press proofs on the nominated containers, proved the appropriate adhesive for the application and engineered label sizes for best label value. The press proofing exercise involved additional colour blocks so that the final colour selection could take place from a close range which once printed as press proofs could be seen in the context of associated packaging and promotion materials.
