Eco Friendly Digital Adhesive Printed Labels
Our Short Run Custom Printed Labels are eco friendly on a number of fronts and we continue to seek ways to continuously improve. The next stages to improving the environmental impact of label printing in general is with the material manufacturers creating adhesives and label backing materials that can be recycled or which more readily biodegrade. We have printed on the first biodegradable print stock using a eco friendly adhesive though at present this is expensive the costs will come down with improvements in manufacture and volumes in demand.

For the digital approach we have lead in the UK our Xeikon press does not use solvent based toner so we do not contaminate stock, we do not abate fumes to atmosphere or create wet waste. We do not require printing plates so we save the environmental impact of wastefully making expensive plates, transporting, cleaning, storing and disposing of polymer or metal printing plates. For short run labels our set-up material waste is much less than conventional print and we minimise the amount of packing materials required.

Our Digital Printed Label service is fast, in an emergency we can print immediately on receipt of a PDF file without the need to make plates or to process large minimum order quantities. Under usual conditions we state our lead time to be 4 days from receipt of artwork but in many cases we print in 2 days. For those customers with repeat orders we arrange slots in our schedule so for example their orders and files received by Tuesday afternoon are printed that evening or Wednesday a.m. so we are flexible and responsive; contact us to discuss.
