Traditionally label makers have applied a gloss overlamination to chemical labels in order to protect the label from spilled contents that can remove solvent based ink on a printed label. In contrast as a digital label maker using Xeikon technology our process does not use solvent based inks. We apply a dry toner that is fused to the web in a durable solvent free label printing process with a large CMYK colour gamut and colourfast printed label result.
