Small run labels on rolls and particularly high quality labels printed over different versions was recognised to be required by label companies when Borble directors researched the UK printed label market in 2004.
To address a growing need for small run printed labels Borble Ltd was formed by the directors, Gavin Scott & Barry Griffiths in May 2005 to supply high quality low cost custom labels on rolls and printed fast using the latest digital label press technology. The directors have broad commercial, industrial, print industry and general management experience and developed the label printing operation based around Xeikon digital label print presses and specialist label printing equipment to finish sticky labels inline. This label company quickly established a recognised niche position among leading label companies and label printers in two markets for digitally printed self adhesive labels products and decorative self adhesive wall art borders.
The self-adhesive label companies are traditionally dominated by litho and flexo label printers who use expensive printing plates to print labelsin large volume to arrive at lower unit costs. However, change is taking place; many small businesses supply their quality products in smaller production quantities across wide varieties, and larger producers need to find ways to better manage inventories and address niche markets. Borble was the first company to bring the leading edge Xeikon 330 into the UK and followed this in 2009 with UK's first high speed Xeikon 3300. Both of the Borble labels presses have inline finishing so we have the capacity, contingency and deep commitment to deliver the label print service required.

In 2005 the label printer Borble was included in the Wales “Hot 100” list by the Welsh Assembly Government supported Entrepreneur Observatory; University of Glamorgan and other bodies.
In 2006 Borble were finalists in the Welsh Assembly Government sponsored New-Business category of Achievement Wales.
In 2007 Borble were HSBC “Start-up Stars” regional finalists.
In 2008 Borble achieved ISO approved quality management certification.
In 2008 Borble launched this innovative and unique labels online website.
In 2009 Borble installed a 2nd digital label press the first high speed Xeikon 3300 reel to reel label press with inline label finishing.
In 2010 Borble re-approved to ISO9001:2008
During this time the label printer has experienced continuous growth in the service of its highly valued customers.
