Xeikon 3500 Digital Label Press

We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new digital label press, the first in the UK.
The Xeikon 3500 press outclasses any digital label press currently on the market. It handles web widths from 200 to 512mm wide and prints at a speed of 19.2 m/min regardless of the amount of colours used, making it almost twice as productive as the closest competitor system.
The 3500 is the most productive digital press in its class. It’s launch addressed the need for more capacity by offering a wider print width up to 516 mm, making it viable beyond 4,000 linear meters. This closes the gap with traditional printing presses and has allowed Labelsprint to fill a productivity gap. The press is also opening new applications in diverse market segments.
Like all Xeikon 3000 Series presses, the Xeikon 3500 is capable of printing on an unmatched range of substrates including self-adhesive films, unsupported film, paper, transparent and opaque foils, and paperboard with weights ranging from 40 to 350 gsm. Significantly, the Xeikon 3500 utilizes Xeikon’s QA-I toner, which meets all the applicable FDA guidelines for indirect food contact under room temperature as well as direct food contact for dry food substances containing no surface oil or fat.
The Xeikon 3500 is standard-equipped with five colour stations, four for the standard process colors while the fifth allows the use of opaque white or spot colours.
We believe the Xeikon 3500 will also have a significant impact on the break-even point between digital label printing and conventional printing technologies. This will enable the cost-effective production of volumes beyond the 4,000 linear meters using digital technology, and will speed up the transition from analogue to digital label production. Until now, digital printing still had capacity limitations compared with traditional label printing. With the 3500, we can fill this productivity gap. Plus the press will open up new application opportunities in diverse market segments.
